2009/07/29

On the afternoon of July 27, Mayor of Guangzhou Zhang Guangning presided over the executive meeting at which the Exhibition IPR Protection Measures of Guangzhou was discussed and passed.

The basic thought of the Protection Measures is to follow the principle of payment supervision, the responsibility of exhibition sponsors, self-discipline of exhibitors and the supervision of the public, and to establish protection mechanism that combine the exhibition sponsor's disposal of disputes based on contracts with the administrative disposal conducted by IPR administrations.

Zhang Guangning pointed out that, Guangzhou determines to develop into an international exhibition center. Reinforcing IPR protection at exhibition and investigating actions infringing patent rights, trademark rights and copyright rights during the exhibition is of significance in safeguarding normal order of the exhibition, promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the exhibition cause of Guangzhou and conducting activities on independent innovation.
