A large promotional activity called "Shandong Tour of Intellectual Property Competes Future", co-organized by State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and Shandong Provincial Intellectual Property Office, was opened in Yantai, Shandong province.

This activity was led by officials from the SIPO, and attended by reporters from China Daily, People's Daily Online, Economic Daily, Guangming Daily, Legal Daily, Economic Information Daily and China Intellectual Property News.

A principal from the SIPO said, this activity aims to push the implementation of National IPR Strategy, and create a good atmosphere of carrying out IPR strategy and developing IPR culture.

This move is conducive to building up a bridge between the media sector and IPR work of the government and enterprises, letting the media sector pay attention to IPR work and the society stress IPR work, and helping to explore a promotional way for effective IPR work.

Vice Mayor of Yantai Zhang Guangbo met with members of the promotional team, introduced the situation of local IPR work and expressed thanks to SIPO for taking Yantai as the first stop of this activity. Zhang added, Yantai city will take this activity as an opportunity, sum up representative cases and find out shortcomings, to impel local IPR work to a new stage.

Later, the promotional team paid a field interview to Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area and enterprises there.
