The 7th JPO–EUIPO Trademark Experts Meeting was held in the Japan Patent Office (JPO) on September 5 and 6. Mr. Hanaki, Director-General of Trademark and Customer Relations Department, Mr. Sato, Director of Trademark Division and other representatives from JPO, and Mr. Gimenez, Team leader of International Cooperation and Legal Affairs Department and Ms. Siro, Legal Practice Service of the same department from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) participated in the Meeting.
At the meeting, both Offices exchanged information and views of the latest trends concerning trademarks, the practice of trademark examination and quality management system. Furthermore, both Offices discussed further cooperative framework and confirmed to engage in an exchange of views in the field of trademarks continuously.
