Ten Provinces Collaborated to Combat IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting

2017/09/19

In order to strengthen cross-regional efforts to combat IPR infringement and counterfeiting and push forward the healthy and orderly development of economy and trade along the “Silk Road Economic Belt", Henan Provincial Commerce Department worked with other nine provinces (autonomous regions and cities) including Shandong, Hubei, Chongqing, Tibet, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang for the first time to carry out regional anti-infringement and anti-counterfeiting coordination and sign a framework agreement of joint action.
The agreement requires a joint conference system and a joint action mechanism for the cross-regional fight against IPR infringement and counterfeiting be established in ten provinces (autonomous regions and cities) along the Silk Road Economic Belt. Activities will be taken including case clue notification, cross-regional evidence transfer, cross-regional case assistance and joint law enforcement. As for the regular management, joint inspection, off-site mutual inspection and sample inspection can be adopted to improve the action effect.
