Lately, Shaanxi Provincial Intellectual Property Office and the Patent Search and Consultation Center of State Intellectual Property Office held a summit forum together, negotiating on giving full play to the role of patent information in instituting and practicing enterprises' IPR strategies.

Director of Shaanxi Provincial IP Office Wei Jianfeng took part in the forum and delivered a speech. He pointed out, how to use patent information to grasp the development situation, how to work out and implement enterprises' IPR strategies, and whether to hold core IPs and patented products are critical factors for enterprises in overcoming crisis and developing rapidly.

At the forum, an expert made a special report on "The Importance of Patent Information in Instituting and Practicing Enterprises' IPR Strategies."

The contents of the report cover the importance of patent information in enterprises' strategic decision-making, technological innovation, the process of advocating IPRs, technology introduction and patent lawsuits, and how to use patent information to analyze patented technology, predict development trend and avoid risks. Besides that, the expert introduced some vivid cases to explain the importance of patent information.

In addition, relevant experts from Patent Search and Consultation Center taught attendants the functions of patent search and cases' analysis.

Over 150 people from IP management departments of cities and districts of the province, Xi'an Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone, etc. attended the forum as well.
