(SIPO) Shen Changyu, Mayor of Beijing Wang Anshun, Acting Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Tianjin Huang Xingguo and governor of Hebei province Zhang Qingwei co-signed Cooperation and Consultation Protocol Concerning Promoting the Coordinated Development in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Through Intellectual Property (hereinafter referred to as The Protocol), which marked that the IP cooperation and consultation mechanism between the SIPO and three regions of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei was officially established. According to The Protocol, the SIPO will explore new cooperative mechanisms in aspects such as reinforcing intellectual property rights (IPR) protection, cooperating with application of intellectual property (IP) and sharing IP service resources. It will stick to the principle of overall development, opening and sharing, helping and promoting each other and cooperation and win-win; overall plan and construct coordinated and unified IPR institutional environment and policy and regulation system; collaboratively develop demonstration region for the coordinated development of IPR and other industries in the local area and hence enabling Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to become a national development pole for IP-supported innovation-driven development.
