A book introducing blue calico, an intangible cultural heritage item in Nantong city, debuted at this year's London Book Fair held last week. Wu Lingshu, an inheritor of the technique, and her father Wu Yuanxin spent over two months writing the book, which was later translated into English, with pictures to illustrate the craft's history. Used to make quilt covers in the past, blue calico is now used in modern fashion.
