Head of UK Intellectual Property Office visits Guangdong Provincial IP Office

Recently, a group led by Chief Executive of Intellectual Property Office of the United Kingdom Ian Fletcher paid a visit to Guangdong Provincial IP Office, which is for the first time that head of UK Intellectual Property Office visited Guangdong.

Both sides exchanged views on promoting intellectual property creation, use, protection and management and strengthening exchanges and cooperation, and some hot issues in intellectual property field were discussed as well.

The two parties expressed their willingness to further boost cooperation in the connection of intellectual property information, education and training, personnel exchanges and co-sponsored high-level IP seminar, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and promote the healthy development of economic and trade cooperation.

Zhu Wanchang, Vice Director of Guangdong Provincial IP Office, expressed that Guangdong IP Office has attached great attention to cooperation with UK Intellectual Property Office. This official visit will offer an opportunity to further communicate and increase understanding for each other, and exert an active role for two parties' interaction in the future.

Zhu wished that under the support and guidance of the State Intellectual Property Office, Guangdong Office will deepen the relationship with UK Intellectual Property Office.

Ian Fletcher expressed appraisal to those measures adopted and achievements gained by Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office, and briefed many measures and experiences of UK side on IP promotion and management.

He said, we have many commons in the field of intellectual property work, so we have huge cooperative space for both sides on IP publicity, pushing the exchange of IP service agencies and so on.
