The World Intellectual Property Organization and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore honoured four outstanding local enterprises with the prestigious WIPO-IPOS IP Awards at Asia’s premier intellectual property event, IP Week @ SG 2015.
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law, Mr K Shanmugam, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour and presented the awards to the recipients, alongside Dr Francis Gurry, Director-General of WIPO.
In its third year, the WIPO-IPOS IP Awards recognises and celebrates Singapore’s IP-intensive enterprises that have achieved excellence in innovation and creativity. They seek to engender more IP-driven business organisations in Singapore, as the nation progresses towards greater value-creation.
The awards were presented to the following recipients:
IPOS Award for Design Innovation: Hawaii Furnishing Pte Ltd (ScanTeak)
IPOS Award for Technology Patent: Stratech Systems Limited
IPOS Award for Trade Mark Portfolio: MindChamps Holdings Pte Limited
WIPO IP Enterprise Trophy: Stratech Systems Limited (Overall Champion)
WIPO Users’ Trophy: Creative Technology Limited
The recipients of these prestigious awards were rigorously evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, including industry experts, trade association leaders, and members of academia.
