Congressman Speaks at IPI’s Fourth Annual World Intellectual Property Forum

The Institute for Policy and Innovation (IPI) announced that the US Congressman Marsha Blackburn will be among the speakers at the IPI’s Fourth Annual World Intellectual Property (IP) Day Forum entitled “The Role of Intellectual Property in the Global Recovery” on April 30, 2009, at the Minuteman Memorial Building headquarters, Washington, DC.

 

A staunch defender of American ingenuity, innovation and talent both here and around the world, representing the creative communities of Nashville and Memphis, Blackburn is a nationally renowned leader in promoting innovators’ Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) both domestically and abroad.

 

The one-day forum will discuss issues related to the role of IP in a struggling economy, IP and the future of innovation and does growing protectionism limit access to innovation?.

 

The Institute for Policy Innovation is a non-profit, non-partisan public policy "think tank" based in Lewisville, Texas and founded in 1987 by Congressman Dick Armey to research, develop and promote innovative and non-partisan solutions to today's public policy problems.
