Qingdao released top 10 IP cases of 2013

Among the top 10 cases concerning violations of consumers’ rights released by Administration for Industry & Commerce of Qingdao, 6 are related with trademark infringement. Cases involved with unqualified products and false advertising also assume a certain proportion.


Violations happened in various industries such as decoration, clothing and electromechanical sector.


Illegal players in trademark infringement cases were punished accordingly. The case of Harley trademark infringement has been transferred to judicial organs. Others were imposed a fine of no more than 100,500 yuan and no less than 20,000 yuan.


In 2013, the municipal commercial and industrial administration handled a total of 18,900 cases.
