Last week, the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Suihua in Heilongjiang Province destroyed 1,370,000 fake cigars and 68,570,000 bars of substandard cigarettes valued at two million yuan in an environmental friendly way, which was applauded by the public.
Head of the Bureau said that due to huge profit gained from selling fake cigarettes, law breakers often took risks. However, they were always defeated by national defenders. Last year, the city resolved 822 cases on fake cigarettes, ruined 54 illegal lairs, concluded four cases on internet violations, detained 17 suspects and approved to arrest 9 criminals.
