Fujian: Online patent transaction to be realized in Jinjiang

A platform on trading patent online is going to be established in Jinjiang, a city in Fujian province, by the end of 2014 when patent holders, individuals and entities will be provided with a 24-hour transacting tool, according to Chen Endian, Director of Jinjiang Science and Information Bureau.


This year, the Bureau has taken a series of measures to implement positive IP policies, making significant accomplishment in this regard. From January to November, the city saw its patent applications and grants reach 5,610 and 3,732, up 70.98% and 93.18%. Meanwhile, 3,047 patents were financed with a total of 9.73 million yuan.


In addition, Chen said that his Bureau will conduct a three-year program to cultivate "science giants". Currently, some 110 enterprises in the city were targeted in the program and will receive special assistance from the Bureau thereof.
