The Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) – India Office Executive Director Khalid Odeh has been elected a member in the Executive Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) - India during its 78th Annual General Meeting on March 20, 2009, a press release by AGIP stated.
Meanwhile, Sushil Jiwarajka, Salora Group chairman was elected the new ICC India president.
“With the election of Odeh, the activities of ICC India would be greatly strengthened through AGIP’s efforts and expertise,” said Jiwarajka who has thirty-year experience in telecommunications, IT, energy, financial and advisory services.
In his remarks, Odeh stressed the need “for the developed countries to demonstrate a deeper sense of understanding towards the developing countries’ concerns to ensure a balanced outcome of the Doha Round.”
Moreover, he extended his appreciation for Jiwarajka’s confidence in AGIP’s potentials to make the markets a better place for trade and business.
The ICC India is established to encourage progress and promote peace among countries through cooperation with businessmen and organizations to represent the commercial, industrial, financial, shipping and trading interests of India.
