In a bid to improve indigenous innovation capacity of enterprises, Wuding, a county in Yunnan province, has been actively exploring new ways to promote implementation of IP creation, utilization, protection and administration.
IP professionals were organized to provide on-site consulting services to local enterprises. They helped 15 enterprises and individuals file 33 patent applications in 2013, in which 14 were on inventions and 19 on designs, overfulfilling the assigned targets.
In occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26th, publicity and training were conducted for the public to help them build their awareness on IP protection.
In recent two years, the county allocated 50,000 yuan to stimulate innovation activities. Enterprises and individuals submitting patent applications would be granted subsidies as a reward.
