Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of IP Strategies (“Opinions”) were launched by Henan government on December 2nd, stipulating that by 2015 valid invention patents will hit 18 thousand, trademark registrations in force 250 thousand, Chinese well-known trademarks 150 and Henan famous trademarks 2,500.
It is also said in the Opinions that copyright registrations of works and computer software will record over 10 thousand respectively, registrations for new varieties 600 and GI protected products 50.
Meanwhile, the province intends to cultivate 100 IP-advanced enterprises, 50 IP-advanced areas, 20 IP demonstration companies, and 5 exemplary entities.
The province also plans to be involved in making more than 50 standards at international, national and industrial levels and 1,000 standards at local level in various sectors ranging from agriculture, environment, energy, security, health, services and resource conservation (energy, water, land, and materials) as well as GI products.
The Opinions also propose to establish 30 ICH protection bases at provincial level, name 800 ICH successors and set up 15 national demonstration bases in cultural industry.
