ACCO Brands, PC Guardian Reach Agreement to Settle Pending Litigation

ACCO Brands Corporation, a world leader in select categories of branded office products, and PC Guardian Anti-Theft Products  Inc., a proven leader in IT asset security and management, announced that they have agreed to settle pending litigation relating to certain patents owned by ACCO Brands. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

 

According to ACCO,  as a result of the agreement, PC Guardian will discontinue the sale of computer locks and focus on providing innovative RFID Information Technology solutions to enterprises. Kensington Computer Products Group, a division of ACCO Brands, will integrate the PC Guardian computer lock business into its existing customer and product portfolio.

 

In addition, ACCO Brands will acquire certain PC Guardian assets, including product designs and patents.

 

PC Guardian will retain the rights to the PC Guardian brand for non-computer lock products.
