The first China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair recently ended in the city. More than 150 international publishers presented some 50,000 children's books, including 20,000 from overseas. The three-day event also attracted many famous foreign children's book writers and illustrators, such as Nobel Prize-winner Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio and Swedish illustrator Maria Nilsson. Organizers said the second session will kick off next November and the exhibition space will double.
