TASER International Inc. announced that the US District Court for the District of Arizona issued an order on February 2, 2009 based on a Markman hearing held on May 7, 2008 in the patent infringement litigation entitled TASER International Inc. v. Stinger Systems Inc.
According to a press release by TASER, the Court adopted TASER International's claim construction on the disputed patent claim term in TASER's US patent number 7,102,870 and all of TASER's claim construction on all of the disputed patent claim terms in TASER's US patent number 7,234,262.
In addition, the Court adopted TASER's claim construction on one of the disputed patent claim terms in TASER's US patent number 6,999,295 and rejected both parties claim construction in the other disputed claim term in this same patent.
