Customs IP Border Measures Roundtable to Be Held in New Delhi

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India; ASSOCHAM (the Knowledge Chamber) jointly with the International Trademark Association (INTA) - Anti Counterfeiting Enforcement Committee- India Group is organizing a roundtable to discuss the Intellectual Property (IP) Boarder Measures (Imported Goods) Enforcement Rules 2007 on February 20, 2009 at the ASSOCHAM HOUSE, New Delhi.

 

The roundtable will have two panel discussions. The First will discuss the existing law on Customs IP Border Measures and its efficacies.

 

The Second Panel will tackle issues related to the practical difficulties and challenges faced by IP owners in protecting their rights at the Indian Borders and Ports. The Session will be chaired by an eminent Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) practitioner.

 

INTA is a non-profit association of trademark owners and professionals from more than 190 countries throughout the world, including India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc.

 

As an apex industry body, ASSOCHAM represents the interests of industry and trade, interfaces with Government on policy issues and interacts with counterpart international organizations to promote bilateral economic issues.
