Shanghai: IPR cases rise sharply

Courts in Shanghai handled 4,575 intellectual property rights lawsuits last year, up by 44.8 percent year-on-year, according to an IPR white paper released by the municipal government on Friday. The sharp increase was due to rising public awareness of IPR protection and strengthened law enforcement, experts said.
