Since patent commercialization programs were implemented in Yunnan Province three years ago, local government and enterprises have invested 6 million and 140 million yuan respectively in transforming more than 40 patented technologies into productive forces, gradually forming a situation where governmental departments guide enterprises to invest in technology industrialization.
As of the end of last year, Yunnan Intellectual Property Office has created a total of 34 patent commercialization programs, covering sectors such as biotechnology, photoelectron, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy saving and environmental protection, new materials and new energy.
As statistics show that as many as 18 programs which have already been operated for more than one year have newly gained 434,670,000 yuan sales revenue, 161,670,000 yuan profits, 33,800,000 yuan in tax and 266,000 yuan through export, resulting in favorable social benefits in jobs, environment and resources.
During the process of enforcing patented technologies, enterprises have further increased their research and development investment and conducted patent analyzing and pre-warning mechanisms, which in turn stimulated new filings with 119 patent applications (37% on inventions) and 78 grants newly added.
