2013/01/08

Three marks in Yixing, Jiangsu province, were newly recognized as Chinese Well-known Trademarks by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2012, and the city has owned a total of 11 such marks to date.

Given the role of trademark as one of the most important indicators used to measure the economic, technological and management competence of an enterprise or an area, in recent years, Yixing has been attaching great importance to trademark development, and actively guided local enterprises to submit trademark registration applications.

As of now, the city has held 83 Jiangsu Famous Trademarks, 199 Wuxi Notable Trademarks, 51 foreign registered trademarks and a total of 10,010 registered trademarks, with 1,880 domestic trademarks and 11 international marks newly identified last year.

For the next phase of work, Yixing plans to further enforce trademark development strategies and encourage strong enterprises to file more applications for famous marks. Currently, two local enterprises are well prepared to file applications for Chinese Well-known Trademarks.
