Patents held by Siemens totaled 57,300 globally

In 2012 fiscal year, patent applications filed by Siemens have gained a constant increase, recording 4,600, up 7% on a year-on-year basis. As of now, the company has held a total of 57,300 patents. Over the same period, 8,900 invention reports were submitted by the company, hitting a historical high record.

To reward the contributors behind all this, on December 13th in Munich, Siemens commended 12 prominent researchers, who filed 613 invention patent applications and 734 individual patent applications.. They were honored as the Excellent Inventors of the Year.
