Recently, the Office of the People’s Government of Ankang City distributed Opinions on Carrying out IP Strategy Outline.

The basis of the Opinions is to raise the government’s IP managerial capability, the focus is to improve the abilities of enterprises and public institutions in creating and using IP, the orientation is to promote the propertification of intellectual achievements and the industrialization of IP, the objective is to thoroughly improve the indigenous innovative ability and core competitiveness of the whole city, and the guiding ideology is to foster advantageous enterprises with indigenous IP, create new IP work situation and provide powerful support for cycle development and good life.

The Opinions identified the general goal of IP strategy, the concrete goal till the year 2015, the protection of patents, trademarks, copyrights and new plant variety, and the strategic implementation emphasis on geographical indication (GI) work. Besides, the Opinions also made it clear to enhance leadership, invest more, set up incentives, accelerate the cultivation of talents and redouble efforts on publicity.

The issuance of the Opinions will facilitate the exploit of knowledge resources and has important detective significance to improving Ankang’s indigenous innovative ability, quickening the transformation of scientific results, transforming economic development mode, promoting the scientific and circling development of the whole city and building beautiful Ankang City.
