In a bid to standardize local corporate trademark utilization, Laibin Administration for Industry and Commerce provides administrative guidance by including services of reminding, exhorting, admonishing, warning and recommending into the trademark management mechanism. Officials frequently visit local companies, educating them to properly use registered trademarks.
Besides, the administration has taken several steps to protect trademarks. A trademark liaison system was set up for easy communication between governmental agencies and local companies. The officials will regularly review corporate trademark registration certificates to help them timely find problems and solve them. They will also visit the production areas of companies to see if the trademarks are properly used or abused. They also plan to guide trademark owners to establish their trademark portfolios. Furthermore the administration will join hands with right owners to combat trademark violations. In the recent two years, a total of 31 trademark cases were tackled with three high-value cases transferred to local public security organ.
