A brand is an important impetus for economic growth, and is also one of the indicators of a region's comprehensive economic strengthen and international competitiveness.
For underdeveloped areas such as Zhangjiakou, they need great effort to make its brands known nationally. In recent years, the city has taken brand building as a priority and released a series of favorable policies, which resulted in many famous brands.
Several documents which were issued in order to promote brand building in the city specified the main targets of the efforts. A leading group responsible for brand building in the city was established and was led by the vice mayor. In addition, special funding was set up to award pioneers in this undertaking.
Furthermore, local authorities have combined efforts to divide the task into several phases and made specific working plans. They have also taken variable measures to disseminate the importance of brand building which helped maintain a great momentum in this regard. According to statistics, as of now, Zhangjiakou has made 221 achievements in branding building.
