A trademark, which is designed to differentiate the brands and service of one business operator from the others, represents the image of an enterprise and is also an intangible asset of an enterprise.
As of the end of June in 2012, Jinzhou, a city in Liaoning province, has owned six Chinese Well-known Trademarks, 58 Liaoning Famous Trademarks and 70 Jinzhou Notable Trademarks, totaling 134 renowned marks.
In addition, as of March 31st, the city has held as many as 3,156 registered trademarks, up 8% on a year-on-year basis.
In the first half of 2012, the local Administration for Industry and Commerce dealt with seven cases of trademark infringement and 51 cases on illegal advertisements, as well as one cross-border trademark violation, which was the first international trademark case handled by the city.
