Pirate pharmacopoeia on sale

A so-called expanded edition of the latest Chinese Pharmacopoeia has been pirated before it was published. 

Many pharmaceutical institutes across the nation have received solicitations to purchase the book, but the compendium's genuine publisher China Medical Science Press said it never issued such promotional material. 

Wu Shaozhen, editor in chief, said the pirate pharmacopoeia version is based on online materials and contains many mistakes. 

Publication of the genuine book is planned for October.
