A delegation led by Yuan Shuhong, Deputy Director of the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council visited Guizhou on August 10th to consult representatives from local authorities and leading enterprises about amendment recommendations on the Trademark Law.
Local government representatives put forward proposals on modifying the definition and identifying prerequisite of Chinese Well-known Trademarks, among other things, while representatives from enterprises also talked about their recommendations and expectation.
Since the Trademark Law was enacted in 1983, it has been revised twice. The law has been playing a significant role in establishing and protecting trademark rights of manufacturers, distributors and other stakeholders. In a bid to better meet the need of the development in the new era, last September, the Legislative Affairs Office released the amendment draft of the law online to collect public opinions.
