Statistics show that in the first half of 2012, 519 contracts on patented technology transfer were signed in Beijing, up 8.4%, with a gross turnover of 13.35 billion yuan, jumping by 98.7% on a year-on-year basis.
Among those transactions, patented technologies on inventions generated a total of 9.11 billion yuan, taking up 68.2% of the gross turnover.
Enterprises, which played as the main body of those transactions, saw their trading volume of patented technologies hit 13.19 billion yuan, accounting for 98.8%.
The turnover of patented technologies exported to foreign countries and regions accounted for 40.5%.
In addition, about half of those transactions fell in areas of electronic information, urban construction, new energy and energy efficiency.
