According to the national deployment, IP-related authorities in Shaoyang, a city in Hunan province, is conducting a special campaign cracking down upon online piracy from August 8th to the end of this October.
The special campaign targets at websites providing works, performances, audio video contents, storing space, searching links and online trading platforms with focuses on areas such as network literatures, music, films, games, cartoons and software. Officials will also oversee copyright protection on key products including books, audio video products, digital and online publications. The move is expected to further regulate the operation of internet service providers and increase online copyright awareness of enterprises and the public.
