Yunnan: Kunming holds 35 thousand trademarks

Kunming has had 35 thousand trademarks by the end of June, accounting for 57% of the province's total; six Chinese Well-known Brands were newly added in the first six months, making the gross hit 23, or 51% in Yunnan Province, reporting from a meeting for directors of the city's industrial and commercial administrations on August 7.

Targeting key commodities such as edible oil, dairy products, wine, flavorings and soaking foodstuff, Kunming has organized seven enforcement actions to inspect on food security, resulting in 2,423 markets being investigated and ten illegal sites being destroyed. 88 cases were filed therein; 1,563 kilograms of foodstuff were detained for bearing potential risks to human health.

The municipal administration for industry and commerce even went further to draft working plans for ten key programs in the second half of year related to private service industry, highland agriculture, advertising strategy and consumer protection.
