A national conference on patent administrative enforcement was recently convened in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

He Hua, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office, delivered a keynote speech at the conference.

He said that his department has initiated a consultative research on the amendment recommendations of the Patent Law, which are expected to help solve the existing problem of high protection expense versus low violation cost, as well as the difficulties in collecting and maintaining evidence.

He Hua also affirmed the accomplishments achieved by the autonomous region with their great efforts in tackling hardship with respect to inadequate personnel and outlay.

He Hua pledged that his department will highlight the recommendations proposed and will strive to take measures to solve the problems step by step.

He Hua urged his local departments to take patent administrative enforcement as a prior task and encouraged them to allocate more resources in this regard.

At the conference, an official from the Intellectual Property Office of Xinjiang delivered a working report on the current situation, existing problems and difficulties, as well as proposed recommendations in respect of patent administrative enforcement.
