DUBAI - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) Dubai office recently received a delegation representing Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) in a mechanism to enhance cooperation between the two parties.
This visit came upon the request of the Association which was represented by nine officials from the biggest companies in Japan; NEC Co, Sumitomo Metals Co, Casio, Teijin Corporation, NITTO DENKO Corporation, NISSAN Motors, Eisai CO., LTD, Panasonic, DENKA Co.
Representing AGIP were Amjad Al-Husseini, AGIP UAE Offices executive director, Abd Latif Shalaab, UAE Office manager, Rami Abd Latif and Vijendra Vikram S. Paul, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Legal UAE and Ayham Abu-Ghazaleh, AGIP Japan Office manager.
The two parties discussed issues related to the necessity to protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), and to enhance IP laws and regulations.
“The visit aimed at developing business relationship with this esteemed IP organization in Japan for potential cooperation in the future,” Abu-Ghazaleh said.
JIPA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, which has approximately 1173 members. It represents industries and users of the lP system, and provides related institutions all around the world with well-timed, suitable opinions on improvement of their IP systems and their utilization.
