Liaoning:Neusoft workers arrested

More than 20 employees of Neusoft ’s medical and healthcaredepartment were recently arrestedby Shenyang police, who charged theworkers with infringing on the company’sintellectual property rights.

Th e suspects say they were instructedby a Neusoft executive to use thecompany’s resources to develop outsideprojects.

Some of them claim that they didnot know they were doing somethingthat constituted IP infringement andthought it was just part of “normalwork”.
