Sichuan ended 96 foreign-related IPR cases in 3 years

According to the President of Sichuan Provincial Higher People’s Court Wang Haiping, in the past three years, Sichuan ended 96 foreign-related IPR cases with many international famous brands involved.

Nowadays, 179 of the first 500 world top enterprises invested in Sichuan Province. Wang Haiping said that the province provided foreigners equal protection and tried to create sound opening-up environment.

Till now, the cases received by Sichuan Province have covered all the IPR areas. Based on what Wang Haiping said, since 2009, the courts across the whole province have ended 4,227 IPR cases, thereamong 3,780 were civil cases, 420 were criminal cases and 27 were administrative cases.

Within the past three years, the annual increase rate of IPR cases received by the courts across Sichuan hit 39.09%. Only in the first half of this years, there have been 1,287 IPR cases received, up 60.88% compared with the same period of last year.
