Anhui ranks 14th in China IPR Index Report (2012)

China IPR Index Report (2012) was released in Beijing lately. Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong occupied the first three positions while Anhui Province ranked the 14th across the nation.

“Intellectual Property Comprehensive Strength” refers to the capability of one region in creating, managing, using and protection IPRs, reflecting the environment, basis, current situation and potentials for knowledge innovation in the region. The report was written by China IPR Index Research Group and appraised the IPR comprehensive strength of 31 provinces and cities (exclusive of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao) through IPR index.

It is found that the IPR index of Beijing is 0.605, ranking the first in the nation; the IPR index of Shanghai is 0.567, ranking the second; the IPR index of Guangdong is 0.545, taking up the third position; while the IPR index of Anhui is 0.256, ranking the fourteenth in the country and the third among the 6 middle provinces.
