A special campaign on reinforcing intellectual property law enforcement is projected to be launched at the second half of 2012 by Shanxi Intellectual Property Office, a source from the office said on July 4.
In the campaign entitled "convoying", IP authorities in the province are urged to strengthen the crackdown upon patent infringements involving people's livelihoods, major projects and foreign affairs as well as patent violations in the process of production and circulation. In addition, they are required to severely combat collective and repeated infringements, as well as patent counterfeiting and fraud. Furthermore, frequent investigations should be conducted in key areas such as wholesale markets, exhibitions and high-tech parks.
Meanwhile, governmental monetary subsidies will be rendered to support case handling. The handling progress will be overseen on a monthly basis and the overall achievement in a year will be included into the performance assessment and funds allocations systems for local officials.
