On the afternoon of June 28, Yueyang City of Hunan Province convened a meeting on combating IP infringement and the manufacture and distribution of shoddy goods. Vice Mayor Sui Guoqing and more than 20 principals from member agencies took part in the meeting.

After hearing the reports concerning the crackdown upon IP violation and counterfeiting, Sui Guoqing asked all the competent authorities to work out specific implementation programmes, intensify publicity, set up social supervision network, improve social report system and encourage the public to participate in the supervision work with the view of shocking offenders.
