Recently, Shaanxi convened a working conference for patent agencies in the province. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Director of the Provincial IPO, and representatives from a total of 23 local patent agencies as well as Shaanxi-based divisions of other provinces' patent agencies, attended the meeting.

The meeting summarized the accomplishments and existing problems in 2011 and made requirements for 2012. Besides, the meeting also commended two patent agencies and three patent agents for their gigantic efforts made in providing commissioning service.

At the end of the meeting, Lu delivered a speech on opportunities and challenges faced by the commissioning industry as well as on the industry's working principle and development direction. He also urged patent agencies to improve the quality of commissioning service, cultivate high-level personnel and build self-discipline.
