Inner Mongolia made prominent progress in "escorting" campaign

2012/06/28

In a bid to further study and implement the working arrangements of the State Council on fighting against intellectual property infringement and the guiding principles of the national conference on reinforcing law enforcement by IP authorities, the Intellectual Property Office of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region has launched a special campaign going by the name of "escorting" in 2012.

As of the end of this May, the region has dispatched enforcement officials for 435 person-times, checked 105 large-scale shopping malls and drug stores, inspected 8,345 items of commodities bearing patent marks, investigated 27 cases of patent counterfeiting (two of them were concluded) and dealt with two patent disputes.

The "escorting" campaign has drastically combated patent infringement, safeguarded an equitable market order and created a sound IP protection environment, securing positive social influence.
