Xiao Xingwei paid respective visits to the National Institutes of Industrial Property of Argentina and Cuba

Recently, Xiao Xingwei, Head of Central Commission for Discipline Inspections of the CPC in the State Intellectual Property Office, led a delegation on a working visit to Argentina and Cuba.

During the visit to Argentina, Xiao and Mr. Aramburu, Head of the National Institute of Industrial Property of Argentina, talked about the latest progress and the future cooperation between the two offices and exchanged ideas and insights on concerned issues with respect to intellectual property including the formulation of national IP strategies, patent document sharing, patent reviewer exchange, traditional knowledge and cultural heritage protection, which would help to promote the mutual benefits in areas of science and technology, economy and trade, as well as culture.

When visiting Cuba, Xiao told Ms. Maria Torres, Head of the National Institute of Industrial Property of Cuba, that China has been attaching significant importance to the friendly cooperation with her office. In recent years, under the cooperation framework signed by the two offices, the scope of the cooperation has been constantly widened, and productive accomplishments have been achieved in aspects including increasing public awareness, examination work sharing, exploiting the full potential of human resources and conducting trainings. Both sides also exchanged opinions on bilateral cooperative plans and major international IP issues.
