Lately, two more trademarks from Xianning City, Hubei Province were determined as China Well-known Trademarks by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Thus, the valid registered trademarks in the city reached 2,413, of which 8 were China Well-known Trademarks, 36 were famous trademarks and 82 were renowned trademarks. In 2011, the city newly obtained 208 registered trademarks, up 26% compared with the previous year.
Xianning issued Opinions on Implementing Trademark Strategy and Measures on Determining and Protecting Xianning Municipal Renowned Trademarks to ensure the implementation of trademark strategy. All the industry and commerce agencies across the city set up leading group on boost trademark strategy implementation to reinforce cultivation of trademark registration, well-known trademarks, famous trademarks and renowned trademarks.
In 2011, the industry and commerce agencies across Xianning found 278 cases related to trademarks, seized and destroyed 132.2 mln pieces of counterfeiting renowned trademark signs, which protected the rights and interests of trademark registers and safeguard sound market order.
Besides, the city enhanced trademark demonstration city construction and established model city, town and enterprise communication centers.
