Rugao, a city in Jiangsu province, hosted a working conference on further promoting trademark strategies on the afternoon of June 9. Leaders of the city Miu Xiaohua, Zhang Yong and Lu Xuesong participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, local authorities are urged to enhance law dissemination and entity cultivation to help enterprises achieve more success in brand building. They are also required to strengthen policy guidance and IP protection to ensure the full realization of trademark strategic goals by 2015.
By the end of 2011, the city has owned 3,243 registered trademarks with 27 Jiangsu Famous Trademarks and 62 Nantong Notable Trademarks. Currently, major industrial products have all had their own trademarks. Meanwhile, the cultivation base of industrial clusters manufacturing solar water heaters is joined by 329 entities holding 726 registered trademarks, five famous trademarks and nine notable trademarks. Accomplishments are also achieved in trademark registrations of agricultural products. Among all the 807 registered trademarks of agricultural products, four are recognized as famous trademarks and 12 are identified as notable trademarks.
The meeting also commended enterprises who have obtained well-known, famous and notable trademarks from 2011 to 2012.
