Recently, a training course on submitting patent applications via an electronic platform kicked off in Hangzhou. Officials from the State Intellectual Property Office and Director of Zhejiang Intellectual Property Office Hong Jiqing attended it.

Hong highlighted that local authorities should promote the use of the platform, enhance business education, improve the internal management and team building of patent talents in patent agencies, make full play of our national patent examination system in the process of patent application submission, online charges clearing and legal status checking.

In 2012, IP authorities and patent agencies in the province have attached significant importance to the promotion of the electronic platform with the using rate reaching 80% by the public and 95% by patent agencies, meeting the expected objectives.
