Deputy Governor of Jiangsu province Cao Weixing met with USPTO Director David Kappos

On the occasion of the 3rd International (China) IP Forum for Medicinal Chemical Industries, Deputy Governor of Jiangsu province Cao Weixing met with Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office David Kappos in Taizhou, a city of South China’s Jiangsu province, on May 25.

During the meeting, Cao said that Jiangsu has been putting a premium on and striving to promote the communication and cooperation with USPTO, after a memorandum of understanding on seeking cooperation between the two parties in enhancing intellectual property protection was signed in 2011.

Cao also called on the two parties to further improve the permanent protection mechanism, enhance bilateral cooperation and promote personnel exchanges, attempting to achieve more progress in IP field.
