The State Intellectual Property Office and Guizhou government jointly made the next phase working plan at the 2nd consultative meeting convened at Bejing on May 9.
The cultivation of advanced industries featuring Guizhou special characteristics was highlighted by both parties at the meeting.
The SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu said that his Office has long been putting a premium on the efforts made by the province in promoting intellectual property development. The consultative meeting would create significant implications for the province in pioneering innovations and stimulating the economic development mode transformation. The SIPO also vowed to constantly support Guizhou in developing intellectual property, expecting the province to achieve more success in this regard.
Vice Governor Xie Qingsheng attributed the accomplishments achieved in patents in recent years to the efforts made by both the provincial authorities and the SIPO when he was talking about the satisfying patent development trend. He emphasized that guided by the meeting principles, the province would further modernize innovation-based systems and fully implement the national IP strategies to spur economic growth.
Deputy Commissioner of the SIPO He Hua also attended and addressed the meeting. He said that intellectual property could lead to the rapid development of an enterprise and an industry, or even an economic area. Therefore, it would certainly play an important part in the upgrading and transforming process of industries in Guizhou. The SIPO pledged to prop up the IP development in the province by offering information and talent resources.
