Recently, the Market Department of the Administration for Industry and Commerce of Hohhot, capital city of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, has undertaken a serial of activities themed "Cultivating IP Culture and Promoting Innovations" to mark the IP Publicity Week.
Interim accomplishments have been achieved by the Market Department since it conducted a special campaign on cracking down upon IP violations and counterfeits in 2010.
As of now, the department has dispatched enforcement officials for 449 person-times, investigated 1,383 business entities, handled 38 cases associated with the manufacture of fake and shoddy products valued at 490 thousand yuan and retrieved 320 thousand yuan worth of economic losses.
