Of the 410 Chinese Well-known Trademarks newly identified by the Trademark Department of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, 11 are contributed by Yunnan province, making its ever-best figure.
As of now, the province has owned a total of 45 such marks, according to Li Han, deputy director of the Administration for Industry and Commerce of Yunnan. The distribution of the newly added marks demonstrates clearly the advantages in local industries. For example, three marks come from tea companies and one mark is associated with jewelry.
In recent years, a rise in the sales of black tea in and out of the province proves that local special products have been recognized by more and more consumers.
